Jonathan Kantar, Co-Founder and Principal Jonathan is Sage's general manager, overseeing sales, design and pre-construction services, and production. His more than 25 years in the construction field includes project management, client services, real estate development and computer-systems design. Before co-founding Sage Builders LLP with Scott Mario, he owned and managed a Boston-area residential and light-commercial construction company. A Newton native and resident, Jonathan serves as chair of Newton's High Performance Building Coalition, is a board member for Historic Newton, where he chairs the Buildings and Grounds Committee, and is an active volunteer in a wide variety of community projects and programs. Jonathan was recently appointed to the Governor's Zero Net Energy Buildings Advisory Council, and works to help communities adopt sustainable and energy efficiency practices. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in sustainability through the Boston Architectural Center. Scott Mario, Co-Founder and Principal Scott oversees execution and delivery of Sage construction projects. With more than 25 years' experience as a construction supervisor, Scott is a master of everything from the smallest craftsmanship detail to the largest deadline-driven project. Before co-founding Sage Builders with Jonathan Kantar, he owned and operated a commercial and residential construction firm based in Quincy. He is a graduate of the architectural engineering technology program at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston.
